Bronze Blvd was born from both the desire for a sophisticated sunless tanning experience, elevated from what customers had come to expect from the industry, in conjunction with a need to make appointments more accessible for the modern individual.
But the foundations for the brand came from a place much deeper. From the very first touchpoint right through to the last, the entire customer journey has been shaped by a lifetime accumulation of experiences. Our Founder Renée Johnson is a nurse, a mother of four and a skin cancer survivor. Her brush with the dangerous realities of sun damage painstakingly came as she was five months pregnant, setting her on a course to create something better for the world she lived in.
As a teenager, she suffered ongoing acne and skin problems, seeding an affinity for dermatological products and fostering good gut health. Her professional career in beauty and spray tanning started while studying at university, then onto nursing, working in an industry-leading aesthetics clinic gaining valuable experience, before caring for patients through various mental health providers.
While building the Bronze Blvd brand, she was faced with moments that required unwavering resilience, and they instilled in her, how badly she needed to create this space for human beings to feel empowered, safe and filled with self-love for the body that carries them through each day.
This brings us to the birth of a lavish, human-centred beauty club like no other.
